Hi KevanB. I'm not sure I am up for a punch up at this stage. Probably I'll just put up posts on the blog to warn other people off them.

Hey Bart - do you really think they are going to publish the real speeds? Who is doing the analysis? I would imagine they will get Goodbody solicitors to help them wriggle out of it on a technicality. Who knows.

James,

Most companies have addresses at Solicitors offices. Only the really big ones who hold the freehold of head office are registered at the main place of business.

Write them them a letter and your to quit reason is unsatisfactory service.

Then add the killer sentence at the bottom, "that all further correspondence should be adressed to my solicitors" and stick in there name.

Don't have a solicitor? Go over to the law Department and suprisingly there are human beings in it. Do not tell any lawyers jokes. They do that, the lawyers that is. You want one with a practising certificate. For the price of a pint s/he will be game ball for a punch up and will be very disapointed if s/he doesn't get one. If none of them has a cert than down your local Main Street. Pick one who is either a beer soaked grumpy old wreck, or a young keen thing.

If they do get a letter the fees will be paltry and anyway Clearwire can pay for that. How do I know Clearwire will pay? You just hired a lawyer who wants loot and knows a scientist is not really good for very much.

Good luck and let us all how you get on.

Hi James,

While we're on the subject of bad ISPs I also want to warn people about ICE broadband. They too stand to be very embarased when they have to publish average speeds at peak time because just like ClearWire they SUCK. They are cowboys of the worst kind. They deliver a shoddy service which breaks regularly (5 weeks without broadband since mid-December last in my case). Their support is even shoddier and will simply drice you demented.

Do not get ICE broadband.

Bart
